Both the The Cleveland Show and The Simpsons experienced season high ratings last night, thanks to a football overrun, improving by 41% and 42% respectively.
The Simpsons were first of the night pulling in 9.4 million viewers, followed Cleveland with 7 million.
Family Guy’s rerun of “Excellence In Broadcasting” left them in third place, garnering 6.4 million, just ahead of American Dad! who pulled in little over 6 million.
Fox was second in the 18-49 category and third overall for the night.
The second season of The Cleveland Show continues with this years Thanksgiving episode “Another Bad Thanksgiving”, guest starring Niecy Nash.
Donna’s show-off and bossy sister, Janet (guest voice Nash), and her unruly children come to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Browns. Cleveland, still bruised by their past, wants nothing to do with her this Thanksgiving and attempts to drive her out. However, his plan backfires when Janet and Holt fall in love and run away to Las Vegas to elope, saddling Cleveland and Donna with the responsibility of Janet’s kids. Donna, Cleveland and the kids immediately head to Vegas to confront Janet and save their family Thanksgiving. While in Vegas, Rallo and Cleveland Jr. stumble upon a winning slot machine and find a woman of age to cash it in for them in exchange for an “escort” to dinner.
Fox have announced their mid-season schedule and changes are present to Sunday’s Animation Domination.
In short, The Cleveland Show moves from its current 8.30 timeslot to 9.30 to make way for new series Bob’s Burgers from January 9. American Dad will take up the 7.30 slot from January 16. Both The Simpsons and Family Guy remain unaffected.
Note that Animation Domination will not be on January 30 and February 6 for the NFC Prom Bowl and Super Bowl XLV respectively.
New Cleveland continues tonight with the episode “Fat and Wet”.
Cleveland Jr. and Kendra, ashamed of how they look in swimsuits, feel left out of the fun when the family spends an afternoon at the pool. They decide to petition to pass a bill to grant equal rights to those who are overweight. Disgruntled by their defeat in the polls, the pair flees to Wisconsin, a land where they feel more free and accepted, and Cleveland and Lester vow to bring them back to where they belong.
FOX has released 11promo images of The Cleveland Show’s “Murray Christmas” and 10 images for “Beer Walk”, part of a double header scheduled for broadcast December 5, 2010.
When Rallo’s teacher forces him to spend the weekend at a retirement home to get to know the senior citizens during the holidays, he meets Murray (guest voice Reiner), who teaches him about Hanukkah. In an attempt to rekindle Murray’s holiday spirit, Rallo helps him escape, but when his new friend’s health begins to suffer, Rallo has to bring Murray back to the home. Meanwhile, Cleveland trains for a boxing match against his bully of a father, Freight Train, which ends with some bumps and bruises. Later, Donna, frustrated by her husband’s laziness on the weekends, nags Cleveland to help her around the house and to do something more with his life. To prove to Donna he can be as charitable as her, Cleveland recruits his buddies from Quahog and Stoolbend to participate in the First Annual Charity Beer Walk. When Donna gets injured at the event, Cleveland has to take over the housework
